Truliant opens Whitaker Square Branch for convenient access

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (July 15, 2014) — Truliant Federal Credit Union held a grand opening on Tuesday celebrating its new Whitaker Square branch located in the financial institution’s home city.

The branch is Truliant’s second opening of the year. A third location will follow this fall as the credit union expands further into Charlotte with a location in the city’s Mint Hill suburb.

The Whitaker Square location grows Truliant’s presence as it expands further into northwest Winston-Salem. It is the first new Twin City location since the 2007 opening of Truliant’s Victory location and allows the credit union to better serve existing member-owners and to grow its base of local consumers and businesses. Truliant’s Winston-Salem branch locations include North Point, Truliant Way and Victory.

The 2,650-square foot facility is located at 1985 N. Peace Haven Road. It is the first new Truliant branch in Winston-Salem to debut with a design incorporating the credit union’s new member experience redesign. The interior combines recent “Life Improved” rebranding elements, an enhanced focus on technology and greater emphasis on interpersonal interaction with branch staff for an exceptional financial institution experience.

The Whitaker Square design does away with traditional teller lines and focuses on unique teller pods designed to provide an enhanced side-by-side, more personal member service experience. This location provides additional convenience, the latest financial services technology and added personal attention. This new location offers a freestanding 24-hour drive-up Smart ATM with EasyDepositsm where deposits can be made without envelopes, multi-denominational dollar amounts can be received, including one dollar bills, and receipts include check images. Additionally, the location is open Saturday mornings.

“We want our members to have a superior experience with Truliant and Whitaker Square looks toward the future design of all our branches,” said Rik Kielbasa, senior vice president of member experience at Truliant. “This location gives members the personal attention they expect from us in their neighborhood and provides valuable access to the tools they need and want from a financial institution.”

The branch is managed by Lauren Casner, whose responsibilities include developing the new location’s growth plan to attract new members and ultimately improve more member lives. Additionally, she will establish business member and partner relationships to meet their needs and the needs of their employees; along with mentoring branch staff.
