Truliant promotes Scott to director of accounting

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (February 28, 2019) — Truliant Federal Credit Union has promoted Kathy Scott to the role of director of accounting and electronic funds and payment processing.

In her new role, Scott will oversee Truliant’s accounting and reconciliations department, fixed assets and accounts payable, ACH electronic funds transfer, wire transfer and items processing.

“As Truliant has continued to grow and flourish, the scope of work for our support teams has evolved to reflect the changing nature of our credit union. Kathy’s dedication and perseverance makes her well suited for these new responsibilities,” said Linell Johnson, Truliant’s vice president and controller.

Scott joined Truliant in 1998 as a Member Service Representative.She later held roles in Truliant’s accounting department and reconciliation areas. In 2014, she was promoted to manager of its account reconciliation and research department.

In 2015, Scott was promoted to manager of accounting and accounts reconciliation, where she was instrumental in improving efficiencies. Most recently, she served asmanager of accounting and electronic funds and payment processing.

Scott earned her Associate Degree in Accounting from Forsyth Technical Community College.
