WINSTON-SALEM, NC (April 9, 2019) — Truliant Federal Credit Union announced today that it will open an offsite facility in Winston-Salem by early 2020 to be named Truliant Academy.
Truliant will debut a new 28,000 square foot offsite expansion facility to meet the needs of several of the credit union’s growing departments. Its training department, along with Truliant Financial Advisors, Truliant Mortgage Lending and Truliant Business Services will all be housed at this new location.
Truliant Academy will be located in the former Office Depot site at 592 Hanes Mall Boulevard in the Pavilions Shopping Center in Winston-Salem. Although still in the planning phase, remodeling will begin by fall 2019. The new facility will incorporate state-of-the-art design features, providing employees with a modern, collaborative work environment that furthers the credit union’s emphasis on innovation, creativity and learning.
The site is less than a mile from Truliant’s headquarters at 3200 Truliant Way across from Hanes Mall.

“Additionally, Truliant Academy challenges the design concept of traditional work spaces by offering a break-away environment that encourages fresh, creative thinking — with fewer distractions. The design of the site will help promote relationship building, internal networking, and team building,” she added.
The training center comes during a period of growth for Truliant. Since 2014, the credit union has added 13 locations – including 10 in the Charlotte Metro region – and plans for an additional Greensboro location in Summer 2019. Truliant has a total of 723 employees.
Programs at the training center will focus on key elements of financial services and teaching employees about Truliant’s culture. The center will also offer targeted training opportunities in other areas where employees can develop expertise and management development. Employees from North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia will be trained at the new center.
