TruStone Financial launches consumer centric website

PLYMOUTH, MN (December 19, 2014) — In order to better serve its members, TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union launched a streamlined, responsive website on December 16, 2014.

The new website boasts a graphic driven design, easy-to-use navigation and mobile- compatible pages while maintaining the rates and product information consumers know and rely on. “The importance of an all-encompassing, responsive website cannot be overstated,” said Vice President of Marketing, Katie Grindeland. “We want to be where our members are, whether that be on their home computer, smartphone or tablet.”

In addition to the layout and design changes, the website now has a “find your nearest branch” function. Similar to a retail site, the “find your nearest branch” function allows website visitors to enter their zip code to find their closest branch and subsequently get hours and directions. The credit union also created an interactive timeline that takes consumers through the TruStone Financial journey with pictures, videos and unique commentary spanning more than 75 years.

“A positive user experience is vital to the success of a website,” said Chief Business Officer, Steve Steen. “Users must be able to accomplish what they set out to do quickly and with ease or they’ll move on.”

Since July 2013, TruStone Financial has been maintaining two websites for two separate regions – Minnesota and Wisconsin as well as a mobile version of the site. The launch of the new website has allowed the credit union to combine domains into one cohesive URL and brand.

TruStone Financial has a history of technological accolades. As a two-time recipient of a CSO50 Award for the credit union’s security technology and recent recipient of a Credit Union Journal Best Practice for its use of social media campaigns, TruStone Financial is poised to be at the forefront of credit union technology for years to come.
