University Credit Union names Assistant Vice President of Retail Services
ORONO, ME (April 4, 2018) — University Credit Union, Maine’s only full-service financial institution chartered to serve University of Maine System students, employees, alumni and their families, announced the promotion of Stacey Young to Assistant Vice President of Retail Services, effective immediately.
A 25-year veteran of the financial services industry, Young has held nearly every position possible in retail banking, working her way from the member services representative line to loan officer to branch manager. Young joined UCU in 2012 as the Branch Manager in Bangor, and was named Retail Services Manager in 2016, a role she held until her appointment as AVP of Retail Services in March of 2018.
In this new role, Young will oversee all retail services operations for the credit union’s nine locations statewide, including on-campus branches at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham, the University of Maine in Orono and the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Young will also join the credit union’s senior management group.

In her personal time, Young volunteers on the boards of the Penobscot Boys & Girls Club and the Eastern Maine Medical Center Auxiliary and is currently attending the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Management School. She resides in Bangor with her family and works out of the credit union’s headquarters at 15 Main Street in Orono.
