Vermont Federal Credit Union donated over $14,000 in celebration of “Giving Tuesday”

BURLINGTON, VT (November 29, 2021) — In recognition of the “Giving Tuesday” movement, Vermont Federal Credit Union recently donated over $14,000 to a variety of local charities and non-profit organizations.

“At Vermont Federal Credit Union, we believe it is incredibly important to support our communities, especially during these challenging times” said Jean Giard, CEO. “We are delighted to be able to provide financial support for a variety of wonderful organizations”.

The charities selected include: Hunger Free Vermont, Northwest Family Food, Out Community Cares Camp, VT Sustainable Job Fund, Jenna’s Promise, Spectrum’s St. Albans Drop in Center, Common Roots, South Burlington Food Shelf, Addison County Parent Child Center, Homeward Bound, Essex Chips, Outright VT and Champlain Valley Junior League – VT Diaper Bank.

In addition, Vermont Federal Credit Union also partnered with local radio stations 106.7 WIZN and 99.9 The BUZZ to host the 12th annual Feed Your Neighbor food drive to benefit Feeding Chittenden and the Joint Council for Economic Opportunity. This year the food drive collected over 9,000 lbs of food to help members of our community.

Vermont Federal Credit Union encourages its members and other community members to join them in their support of local charities through financial contributions or volunteerism.
