Vermont Federal Credit Union membership elects Board Of Directors

BURLINGTON, VT (May 8, 2015) — On Tuesday, April 28, 2015 over 100 members joined Vermont Federal Credit Union leadership and staff at the DoubleTree in South Burlington to elect the Board of Directors.

Upon membership voting at the 62nd Annual Meeting, incumbent Francis Broughton and newly elected Megan Manahan Bliss and Suzanne Lynn joined the Credit Union’s Board of Directors for three year terms.

Frank Broughton was born and raised in Cornwall where he and his wife of 54 years, Mary Ann, continue to reside. Frank is the owner and operator of Broughton’s Farm Supply in Bridport, a wholesale distributor of farm supplies that he established in 1963. Recently, the wholesale business was sold; however, Broughton continues to operate Broughton’s True Value

Hardware Store and a Cub Cadet dealership in Bridport. Frank has been an active board member of Vermont Federal Credit Union for four years.

Megan Manahan Bliss resides and works in St. Albans. Megan started out her career at the former Brown, Cahill, Gawne & Miller, P.C. in 2001 as law clerk and in 2003 as an attorney and is now a shareholder in Cahill, Gawne, Miller & Manahan, P.C. Megan received her B.S. from the University of Vermont in 1999 and her Juris Doctor from Suffolk Univeristy Law School in 2003.

Suzanne Lynn is the co-publisher and general manager of The St. Albans Messenger, a daily newspaper serving Franklin County. She carries the same titles and responsibilities for the Milton Independent, the Colchester Sun and the Essex Reporter, newspapers serving those communities. Her responsibilities include: budgeting, administration, P&L performance, staff planning and leadership, sales, marketing, circulation, collections and key account responsibilities.
