Vibe Credit Union volunteers help Hope Against Trafficking with spring clean-up
NOVI, MI (May 24, 2023) — Vibe Credit Union is committed to giving back to its community and supporting local initiatives that make a difference. In keeping with this commitment, Vibe partnered with Hope Against Trafficking to help with its Spring Clean-Up event on May 20, 2023.
In addition to sponsoring the event, Vibe sent employee volunteers to paint the interior rooms of residents’ homes and work on the landscape to beautify the grounds. Vibe’s volunteers were happy to donate their time and effort towards a good cause, and they enjoyed working alongside other community members to make a positive impact. By supporting this organization and its mission, the Credit Union hopes to raise awareness about human trafficking and to help make a difference in the lives of survivors.
“I thought I was going to die out there on the streets. Now, for the first time in my life, I have a safe home, a room and bed of my own, and a second chance at life. Hope Against Trafficking saved my life, and I will forever be grateful,” said a resident of Hope Against Trafficking.
Hope Against Trafficking is a non-profit organization that aims to eradicate human trafficking by providing safe housing, education, and counseling services to survivors of trafficking. Their mission is to empower survivors and help them reclaim their lives by providing them with the support they need to heal and thrive. The organization also works to raise awareness about human trafficking and to educate the public on how to recognize and prevent it.
Lexie Schwarze, Executive Director of Hope Against Trafficking, said, “Our role is to bring about awareness. Our mission is to provide a program for lifelong independence and sustainability. We would never be able to do what we do without our community partners such as Vibe Credit Union; they allow us the privilege to help survivors Recover, Rebuild, and Restore their lives.”
