Visions Federal Credit Union sponsors Sensory Friendly Time at the MOST

ENDICOTT, NY (November 23, 2020) — Visions Federal Credit Union has partnered with the MOST to present Sensory Friendly Time.

Sensory Friendly Time is when the Museum turns down the noise, turns off the flashing lights, shuts off the air compressors and turns on the house lights so people with sensory processing challenges can enjoy the offerings of the MOST.

“Visions is proud to partner with the MOST on a project that offers an educational opportunity for people with sensory processing challenges. The MOST is an amazing asset to our community and we want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to experience it,” says Tim Strong, Community Development Manager at Visions.

The MOST considers it a top priority to make science education inclusive and allow all of their guests to learn in a welcoming and comfortable environment. In addition to Sensory Friendly Time offered one day each month, the MOST offers Sensory Kits during regular business hours.

“We are so grateful for Visions Federal Credit Union’s generous sponsorship of Sensory Friendly Time. The MOST is committed to inclusion in all its programs and Sensory Friendly Time allows students with autism or other sensory processing challenges to have access to the same science education as their peers in a setting that is conducive to their needs. This support allows the MOST to add to its already robust offerings and expand to offer it to more children and their families,” said Lauren Kochian, President of the MOST.
