WEOKIE Federal Credit Union hosts donation match to benefit Sharing Tree
OKLAHOMA CITY, OK (October 1, 2021) — Through October 31, WEOKIE Federal Credit Union will match financial donations made to Sharing Tree dollar for dollar, up to $2,500.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to give back to a wonderful organization like Sharing Tree that provides no-cost year-round shopping experience for clothing, household items, and basic necessities to families in need,” said Sarah Mackey, Manager of the WEOKIE Foundation.
During October, Help WEOKIE share the warmth this upcoming winter season, and all money raised from the drive will go towards Sharing Tree’s Christmas connection program to supply families in need with a warm coat, toys, and other winter essentials this Holiday season.
“We are so thankful to partner with WEOKIE Federal Credit Union this Holiday season. As winter approaches, there are too many Oklahomans without a coat. Through Sharing Tree’s Christmas Connection program, families in need will receive a warm coat, toys, and other winter and Christmas essentials so that all families can experience a joyful, warm Christmas morning. Partners like WEOKIE and generous members of our community help make this possible,” said Elizabeth Bozarth Sharing Tree Program Manager.
With support from the community, Sharing Tree served more than 4,000 families in Central Oklahoman. For almost 40 years, Sharing Tree has been serving families with the Christmas Connection program. The founding program provides an opportunity for parents to escape their difficult circumstances and pick out gifts and needed items for everyone in the home. Sharing Tree provides new toys for children, as well as clothing, shoes, coats, books and Christmas decorations for families.
