World Council welcomes new Communications Lead

Former journalist takes over as Corporate Communications Manager

World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) has named Greg Neumann as its new Corporate Communications Manager. Along with directing the tactical and strategic management of World Council’s communication efforts, Neumann also will work to build WOCCU’s visibility around the globe.

“World Council has a great story to tell about how we advocate on behalf of credit unions to reduce their regulatory burden, support financial markets in growing economies through our international development work, and foster learning and engagement opportunities for our members. We think Greg is the right person to help us get that story out to a broader audience,” said World Council of Credit Unions President and CEO Brian Branch.

Neumann brings both a corporate communications and journalism background to his new role. Prior to joining WOCCU, he served as a corporate communications manager for a Wisconsin energy utility. Neumann spent the previous 22 years working as a television news journalist for stations in Nebraska, Florida and Wisconsin. He most recently served as a political reporter for the ABC network affiliate in Madison, Wis., covering the Wisconsin State Legislature, along with numerous national and state political campaigns.

A Wisconsin native, Neumann holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Mass Communication from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
