Wright-Patt Credit Union, Kettering Health Network, Dayton Children’s Hospital and Ronald Mcdonald House Help Families get Financially and Physically Fit for Life

Miami Valley residents invited to apply to compete in Savings Race® 6!

FAIRBORN, OH (August 1, 2013) — Wright-Patt Credit Union (WPCU) announced today a call for contestant applications for Savings Race® 6 – Health & Financial Fitness Edition, in which the credit union is partnering with Kettering Health Network, Dayton Children’s Hospital, and the Ronald McDonald House of the Miami Valley. This year the competition-style program will help Miami Valley residents reduce their medical debt by getting both financially and physically fit – for life!

Through the Savings Race, coaches and advisors work with five teams to create a plan to improve their financial and health outlook. Teams receive free education and coaching, and participate in special challenges which will teach them how to save better, borrow smarter, and create a healthier lifestyle. Cash prizes are awarded to each of the five teams, including a $10,000 grand prize.

“There is a direct correlation between health and finances. A decline or improvement in one area will impact the other,” said Tracy A. Fors, Vice President of Marketing & Business Development. “That’s why we are so excited to partner with Kettering Health Network, Dayton Children’s Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House to help families become more financially savvy and better healthcare consumers,” she continued.

Miami Valley residents are invited to apply to compete in Savings Race® 6. Teams will be revealed during a special kickoff event in October.  Applications are being accepted now through August 24th. Applications are available at Wright-Patt Credit Union, Kettering Health Network and Dayton Children’s Hospital locations, and online at www.SavingsRace.com.
