Xceed Financial launches Xperience Centers
Technology Merges Convenience of Mobile Banking with Personal Touch of Face-to-Face Financial Center Transactions
EL SEGUNDO, CA (June 2015) — With the launch of its all-new Xperience Center, Xceed Financial Credit Union is taking online and mobile banking to a whole new level – providing anywhere, face-to-face video contact with an associate who can help members with all the things that used to require a visit to an Xceed Financial Center.
“This is a natural next step for us, since more and more members are embracing banking-on-the-go with the Xceed Mobile app,” said Xceed Financial President and Chief Executive Teresa Freeborn. “Now, with the Xperience Center, there’s almost nothing that would require a member to take time out of their day to drive down to a Financial Center. For us, it’s all about making members’ lives easier, and making banking with us simpler and more convenient for them.”
Members can access the Xperience Center from a desktop or laptop computer through the Xceed Financial website, or they can initiate a video chat on their mobile device via Xceed Mobile. When using the technology for the first time, members are asked to download the Credit Union’s free Vsee app. The app uses the video camera and microphone on the member’s computer or mobile device to facilitate a secure connection, so there’s no need to purchase new hardware or software. Currently, Xperience Center associates are available to assist members in either English or Spanish, Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pacific time.
These associates can help non-members join the Credit Union, and help existing members apply for a loan, open a new account, and perform the full range of transactions. The Credit Union has found that new members are accessing this new channel to learn more about all the benefits of membership and various Xceed Financial products and services, while many long-time members are using it for face-to-face meetings with their Xceed Personal Banker.
Freeborn also noted that the Financial Consultants of the Xceed Wealth Management Group, who are based at Xceed Financial Centers, are using the Xperience Center technology to meet with clients who may be traveling or who live in a different part of the country.
“Many people simply feel more comfortable talking about investment strategy and financial planning issues face-to-face, and this technology allows our members to have that personal contact on their own terms and at a time and place that’s convenient for them,” she said.
