Removing barriers between credit unions and consumers

Credit unions have earned the ability to serve their members through decades of putting people first. Today’s environment means not only supporting pro-credit union policies, but also fighting back against policies that put barriers between consumers and credit unions.

Banks and other for-profit entities can’t compete with the credit union difference, so they’ll use any opportunity to attack what we do.

We believe the changes to NCUA’s call report requiring reporting of certain fee income is a policy that can ultimately be used against credit unions.

We’ve called on NCUA to not publicly disclose this data  – we’re concerned doing so will provide additional opportunities for cherry-picked data to be used against credit unions.
