The Nussle Report – CUNA moves to new D.C. office

Yesterday was our last day in our Pennsylvania Avenue office, our home base in D.C. for 15 years. We’re leaving with some great memories and a long list of accomplishments we achieved on behalf of the credit union movement. But I couldn’t be more excited about what comes next.

Starting Monday, CUNA’s D.C. office is at 99 M St. in a brand-new development in the bustling Riverfront neighborhood, the fastest-growing area of the nation’s capital. Here are three reasons our new space will make us a stronger champion for credit unions.

  1. Our new space is significantly less expensive . Over the next 10 years, the move will save us $6 million—cost savings that we can invest in new initiatives to advance the movement into the future.
  2. Our distance from Capitol Hill is the same , and we remain the only credit union trade organization with an office in D.C.
