This week: Congress returns, fiduciary rule hearing scheduled

With Congress back in Washington, D.C., America’s Credit Unions will engage with lawmakers for the first time as a strong, united national trade association. The advocacy team will be active on Capitol Hill, providing updates on the new organization and advancing credit union priorities.

America’s Credit Unions will also engage in several hearings this week, including:

  • Wednesday at 10 a.m. Eastern, the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets will hold a hearing to examine the Department of Labor’s Fiduciary Rule; and
  • Thursday at 10 a.m. Eastern, the House Financial Services Committee will hold a hearing to provide oversight of the Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Federal Housing Administration.
