This week: Congress returns, works to avoid partial government shutdown

This week, lawmakers return to Washington with plans to tackle some government funding items set to expire March 1 in order to avoid a partial government shutdown. America’s Credit Unions will continue to keep credit union industry advocacy priorities top-of-mind.

Also happening this week:

  • Thursday, the NCUA and Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) Fund will host a webinar on the certification process to become a CDFI credit union; and
  • Friday, responses to an America’s Credit Unions survey on the CFPB’s recent proposal on overdraft and non-sufficient funds fees are due.
