Auto Expert Reports 30% Sales Increase in 2012; 148% Jump in Revenue over 2011
Auto Locating & Buying Service Affiliated With Altura Credit Union
RIVERSIDE, CA (April 5, 2013) – Auto Expert, an auto locating and buying service based in Riverside, Calif., reported a 30% increase in car sales for 2012 over 2011. In addition, net income for 2012 rose 148% over 2011, and revenue was up 24%.
An affiliate company of Riverside, Calif.-based Altura Credit Union ($683.5 million in total assets), Auto Expert is partnered with 10 California credit unions that represent nearly 750,000 members.
“Auto Expert had a terrific 2012,” said Chris Andrus, Auto Expert president. “Clearly, there was a great deal of pent-up demand for new cars. People who put off auto purchases over the past few years while the economy sputtered, finallyreturned to the marketplace. Sales continue to be strong in 2013.”
Andrus also reports that aftermarket sales revenue was up 6% in 2012 compared to 2011. (Aftermarket sales revenue is derived from DVD players, paint sealants, back-up cameras and similar accessories.)
In addition to the increases in sales and revenue, Auto Expert has solid customer service numbers. “Our net promoter score for 2012 was 93%, and our member satisfactionrating was 98%. We also had a customer satisfaction survey return rate of 47%,” said Andrus, who pointed out that a typical survey return rate is between 10% and 15%.
“Car sales are hitting record numbers in some months, and we are glad to be a part of that,” Andrus added. “We are helping people locate the car of their dreams, and save money on their purchase. Plus, we are generating loan revenue for our credit union partners.”
