Generous donations from employees benefit Tempe students

TEMPE, AZ (August 29, 2014) In just two weeks, Landings Credit Union employees helped raise over $1200 from an employee incentive program. Landings Credit Union employees could donate $20 to wear jeans for one week or for an additional $5 donation could wear jeans for an additional week. Chief Human Resource Officer Adrianne Rexius states, “We have our normal casual jean Friday’s here at Landings, but most of us wish from time to time we could have casual day everyday! This was the perfect platform to help our Tempe Elementary School students out while giving our staff the chance to be casual for a couple of weeks.”

Employees of the credit union who participated in the program raised enough money to purchase 80 uniform bottoms (girls and boys) and 160 polo uniform shirts. All of the donated items go to the TIE Foundations Connecting with Kids charity to provide everyday essentials to Tempe Elementary students in need so they can attend school ready to learn.
