ATLANTA, GA (June 26, 2015) — Georgia Power Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the official launch of their new name and brand positioning strategy. The new name, effective as of June 8, 2015, is On The Grid Financial.

Although the Georgia Power name has great influence on its own and has served the credit union well for many years, the name itself was somewhat limiting as the credit union reaches out to potential members in the Electric Utility Industry.

“We wanted to find a name that would resonate with our entire potential field of membership,” says Emily James, President and CEO of On The Grid Financial. “We believe On The Grid Financial will have a significant impact on our ability to grow and thrive in all of the 11 states we serve, not just Georgia.”

In addition to the new name, the credit union has also adopted a new brand positioning line, “Right Down The Line,” which has a number of connotations including: 1. A connection to members who keep things right down the line for power consumers; 2. The credit union is right down the line for members via phone, email and the Internet; and 3. The credit union will be there for members right down the line through every life stage.

“We understand our members don’t have a lot of time to take care of their finances—especially those who are in the field,” says James. “We want them to know Right Down The Line means we are committed to take care of their financial well being while they take care of business.”
