Hanscom Federal Credit Unions volunteers visit Fisher House

HANSCOM AFB, MA (November 26, 2014) –Volunteers from Hanscom Federal Credit Union provided dinner on a recent late fall day for guests at Fisher House Boston.

The tidy building on the grounds of the Veterans Affairs Boston Healthcare System in West Roxbury is a temporary home for families of veterans treated at the hospital.

“When a stressful life situation arrives, a home cooked meal can lift your mood,” noted Paul Marotta, Hanscom FCU Chairman of the Board and frequent Fisher House volunteer.

Hanscom FCU visits Fisher House Boston throughout the year to provide both hands-on and material support. “We are grateful for the sacrifice these families have made, so we try to provide meaningful service however we can,” Marotta explained.
