Joseph A. Melbourne, Jr. earns CEO of the Year Honoree award

LAKE MARY, FL (October 10, 2014) — President and CEO of CFE Federal Credit Union, Joseph A. Melbourne, Jr., was recently recognized as a CEO of the Year Honoree for demonstrated corporate leadership and contributions to Central Florida at the Orlando Business Journal’s CEO of the Year Luncheon event. The event honored 28 local business leaders whose commitment to their organizations and communities are unrivaled among peers.

Since his appointment as President and CEO of CFE Federal Credit Union 16 years ago, Mr. Melbourne has directed strategic business imperatives resulting in an exponential growth pattern at CFE, while also contributing to the benefit of various educational and community organizations in Central Florida. Under his auspices, CFE was recently awarded a Top 10 distinction within the Orlando Sentinel’s Companies for Working Families. His ongoing presence at charitable and community-based events attests to Mr. Melbourne’s belief that business leaders possess an incumbent responsibility to actively contribute to the well-being and betterment of the communities in which they reside and serve.

On November 15, CFE Federal Credit Union will present “Jazz On A Green” on the Tavistock Green at UCF’s School of Medicine. The event will raise scholarship funds for UCF medical students and the Lake Nona YMCA.
