Nymeo celebrates International Credit Union Day® with Random Acts of Kindness
FREDERICK, MD (October 22, 2014) — Nymeo Federal Credit Union, the largest Frederick-based credit union, celebrated International Credit Union Day® all week long. The week of October 13th -17th Nymeo went out in the community to give back through Random Acts of Kindness.
“To celebrate International Credit Union Day we used random acts of kindness to spread awareness of what credit unions are in our Frederick County community. Credit Unions are a cooperative of people helping people and that is exactly what Nymeo did by giving back to our businesses, members and non-members in our community. We are so proud to be a part of the Frederick community and want to be actively involved in helping the community achieve their financial dreams” said CEO, Victoria M. Johnston. Beginning Monday, Nymeo treated people to lunch at Chucky Cheese and the Common Market off 85. Tuesday Nymeo bought gas at Sheetz on Patrick Street. Wednesday Nymeo paid for groceries at Weis on TJ Drive. Thursday Nymeo teamed up with Frederick’s Chick-fil-A on Urbana Pike to buy lunch for people in the lobby. Friday Nymeo visited United Steam Fire Engine #3 on Market Street with Breakfast, then the Golden Mile to purchase gas and car washes at the Frederick Shell Car Wash.
