Patti McDaniel had many reasons to share her love of Blue Eagle® Credit Union, but now she has 1,000 more – and so does her charity of choice!
ROANOKE, VA (November 21, 2014) — Patti McDaniel has many things she loves about Blue Eagle® Credit Union, but during a recent promotion the credit union gave her 1,000 more.
Blue Eagle® Credit Union’s 1000 Reasons to Share the Love promotion encouraged members to share the credit union with friends and family by referring them to join. For each new member who joined the referring member was entered into a drawing for $1,000 for the winner AND $1,000 for the winner’s charity of choice.
“I have been a member of Blue Eagle Credit Union for many years. It’s easy to recommend them to others, because I love the service they provide. I’m so excited and thrilled that two of my favorite charities will also benefit from my winning this promotion.” states Patti.
After 65 years as a single sponsor credit union, Blue Eagle® Credit Union became a community credit union in 2013. “We felt the promotion would be a fun way to let people in our community know they could now join, reward our members who love to share us, and give back to the community. We have a passion for enriching lives, and this was just a natural fit.” comments Laurissa Grubb, Director of Marketing.
Patti chose to split the $1,000 donation for charity between the American Cancer Society and Angels of Assisi, each receiving $500. She further shares, “I’m a breast cancer survivor of 5 years and I have 3 rescue dogs. It’s just great that both organizations can be helped by this donation.”
