San Francisco Federal Credit Union community donations exceed $100,000

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (December 30, 2014) — San Francisco Federal Credit Union, a not-for-profit, member-owned financial institution serving San Francisco and San Mateo Counties, has exceeded their CommunityShare goals for 2014, raising over $135,000.00 for community causes and volunteering over 906 employee hours.

The San Francisco Federal Credit Union aimed to donate over $100,000.00 and over 800 volunteer hours to the communities they serve in 2014. This goal was an increase from 2013, in which the Credit Union donated $95,700.00 and over 840 volunteer hours.

Some of the highlights for 2014 include, volunteer nights at San Francisco & Marin Food bank and Second Harvest Food Bank, San Francisco AIDS Walk, Light the Night Walk for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Playground Clean Ups with SF Parks Alliance, and many more.

“Our CommunityShare program is a constant priority here, and I am proud to announce that we have surpassed our goals for 2014,” said President and CEO, Steven Stapp. “We are looking forward to the coming year and continuing our donations, volunteer hours and community partnerships in 2015.

San Francisco Federal Credit Union’s CommunityShare program is focused on giving back to the communities of San Francisco and San Mateo Counties through donations, employee volunteerism, and fundraising activities. The Credit Union will continue their program through 2015 with higher goals for financial contributions and employee volunteer hours.
