San Francisco Federal Credit Union sponsors Petchitecture 2015

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (June 9, 2015) — San Francisco Federal Credit Union, a not-for-profit, member-owned financial institution serving San Francisco and San Mateo Counties, is a proud sponsor of this year’s PAWS’ (Pets Are Wonderful Support) annual Petchitecture event.

The event will take place on June 11, 2015 at the Herbst Pavilion at Fort Mason Center. This is the 20th anniversary of Petchitecture, an event that auctions off one-of-a-kind pet habitats built and created by local community architects.

PAWS provides services to pets throughout San Francisco whose owners may have financial or physical obstacles to receiving care. All proceeds from the Petchitecture event will benefit PAWS services for low-income San Franciscans and their pets.

In addition to their sponsorship and donation, over twenty staff from San Francisco Federal Credit Union will spend Thursday setting up for the event including transporting materials, installing the event, and caring for guests’ dogs throughout the evening.

“Whenever we partner with an organization that focuses on animals or pets, we see huge staff participation,” said Steven Stapp, President and CEO of San Francisco FCU. “Pets are a huge part of San Francisco and we are currently working on expanding our pet product offerings.”

The Credit Union currently offers a Furry Fund, a dedicated pet savings account, as well as Pet Insurance.
