The art of storytelling for credit unions

You open the creaky cabinet doors and there it is, buried under a pile of dusty childhood artifacts. You notice the frayed cardboard corners as you grasp the edges to pull it out.

You sit down, slowly open the cover and pull a soft blanket over your shoulders to protect you from the winter air. A light scent of perfume drifts from the book as you slowly turn each page. Nostalgia hangs thick in the air.

The pictures have faded over time, but the memory of these stories remain potent. You recall the times your mother read as she rocked you to sleep night.

The art of storytelling is as old as man itself.

Stories are about communication. It’s how we remember.

And many have withstood the test of time, surviving wars, famines and droughts.

Stories give us hope.
