3 cons of being a workaholic

Usually pros go with cons but I think we all know the pros of being a workaholic … you get stuff done. But what about the cons? Well look no further, here are three cons of being a workaholic…

You’re exhausted: I bet you love coffee. I would say most workaholics do, because it keeps you running. One time I told myself I wouldn’t drink any Diet Cokes all day (I of course still had my morning cup of joe) and man I was ready for bed at about 8:30. If you knew how much of a night owl I am, you’d know that was wild. Sometimes you can’t tell how tired you are when your body is getting pounded with caffeine. It might be something to think about.

You’re alone: Working hard is great, especially when you’re doing great work and accomplishing your goals. But what about your personal life? You’re at the office all day and then you get home and you’re still logged on. As long as you’re attached to your computer, you’re probably detached from the people in your life.

You’re stressed: When you’re working all the time, it’s usually because you’ve got a lot of stuff on your plate. There’s pretty much no chance you’re not stressed when you’ve got that much going on. Pay attention to your stress level and make sure your physical health isn’t taking a beating.

If you’re suffering from any of these cons, it might be time to unplug and take a nap.
