3 tips to make your weekends feel longer

As we get older, time sure seems to fly by. And that’s definitely true on the weekend. It always seems to be Friday, and then before you know it, it’s Sunday night. Weekends are a great time to relax and recharge and when they fly by, it can be a real bummer. Here are some ways you can make your weekend seem longer…

Do more: This one can be as complicated as you’d like it to be. If your weekends are generally pretty laid back, simply try doing more. Take care of a few things on your to-do list and run any errands that you’ve been putting off. Used to sleeping in on Saturdays? Wake up early and see how that changes your weekend vibe.

Do less: For a lot of people, the weekend is time for cleaning, laundry, and other household chores. If this is your standard weekend procedure, try knocking out some of your chores during the week. Now you’ve freed up your weekend schedule and have more time to relax and unwind.

Go somewhere: You may not be able to take a vacation more than a couple of weeks a year, but you can go away on the weekends. A short one or two-night trip can really make your weekend feel like it was a lot more special. If you’ve got a beach or a mountain nearby, pack your overnight bag and take off.
