WESTBROOK, ME (July 1, 2026) |
Synergent® has entered into a ten-year hosted Jack Henry™ Symitar® core processing renewal agreement with Ancorum Credit Union. The agreement also includes five-year agreements for integrated managed services, including mobile deposit capture, check processing, statement processing, and laser check printing.
Continuing the long-standing relationship between the two organizations, this renewal supports Ancorum Credit Union's focus on operational stability and member service following its recent rebrand and expansion across Maine.
“This renewal comes at an important time for our credit union as we build on our recent name change and expanded footprint across Maine,” said Julie Marquis, President and CEO of Ancorum Credit Union. “Our focus is on keeping our operations steady while we grow so we can continue helping our members achieve financial wellbeing, and these systems play a central role in that work. Synergent understands our environment and what we need to serve members consistently across all of our communities.”
Founded in 1956 to serve Bath Iron Works employees, Ancorum Credit Union has steadily expanded its membership and geographic reach over the decades. After several charter expansions, the credit union transitioned from their Five County Credit Union name to Ancorum Credit Union in 2025 to better reflect the communities it serves. The rebrand represents the organization's evolution while honoring its longstanding commitment to members.
“This renewal reflects the strength of the relationship we've built with Ancorum Credit Union and the trust we've developed together over time,” said Brad Lane, Chief Operations Officer at Synergent. “As Ancorum has grown and evolved, we've appreciated the opportunity to support that progress. Their confidence in Synergent means a great deal to our team, and we look forward to building on this partnership in the years ahead.”
Headquartered in Bath, Maine, Ancorum Credit Union has 30,563 members and holds over $405 million in assets. Its field of membership is open to individuals who live, work, worship, or go to school in Androscoggin, Cumberland, Franklin, Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln, Oxford, Penobscot, Piscataquis, Sagadahoc, Somerset, or Waldo County; belong to the Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA) or Maine Farmland Trust (MFT); as well as immediate family members of current members.
