San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, is hosting a blood drive on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at eight locations; six in San Diego County, one in Riverside County and one in Orange County. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there is presently an extremely low inventory of blood. Hospital shelves are almost empty and this short supply is affecting thousands of patients. The community is encouraged to help – lives depend on it!

SDCCU has supported the San Diego Blood Bank for more than 20 years. Blood donations are especially critical at this time of year after a busy winter season, and this year has been especially challenging. While an increased need for blood exists, donations have decreased due to businesses and community partners being unable to host normal drives due to ongoing work from home policies.
