Christopher Morris is the Director of the Development Education (DE) Program at the National Credit Union Foundation, the charitable arm of the U.S. credit union movement. In this role, he leads the Foundation’s educational initiatives, most notably the Credit Union Development Education program, to inspire and equip credit union professionals to leverage the cooperative principles to overcome development issues and increase financial health in their communities. Christopher oversees program strategy, curriculum design, facilitation, and alumni engagement, while also serving as a national spokesperson and thought leader on financial well-being and the credit union philosophy.

An award-winning speaker, facilitator and trainer, Christopher is well versed in membership, strategy planning, leadership, innovation, business and data strategy planning, strategic communications, marketing, social media, fundraising and business development. He has worked for over two decades in credit unions, at organizations such as CUNA, AdvantEdge Analytics (a TruStage company) and most recently as Vice President of Councils at America’s Credit Unions.
Known as a passionate advocate for the credit union difference, Christopher is a Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC), Certified Credit Union Board Member (CCUB) and earned his Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) designation in 2005. He has also received both his Caribbean DE (CaribDE) designation and International CUDE (I-CUDE) designation.
Christopher is on the board of WayForward Resources and loves volunteering with food pantries. He also enjoys organizing group volunteer opportunities for local credit union professionals to give back.
