Does Chicago’s ‘Cupcake ATM’ Suggest Creative Options for Credit Unions?

Last week I mused about the value of the new-fangled ATMs that link the traditional ability to do withdrawal and deposit transactions with the new ability to have a video conference with a live person. (Read “No Kids at the Car Wash.”)

However, on my recent trip to see a friend in Chicago, she showed me an even better reason to go to an ATM: cupcakes!

Now, what if I could also get cash here, deposit a check, talk to my credit union rep and start a loan? I suspect I’d go more often.

The sky is the limit on CUs’ ability to create creative partnerships, to create buzz, to mix up product delivery channels in ways that delight members, including those with a sweet tooth. What are you doing to put a new spin on your old ways of bringing service to members?
