Global Credit Union Podcast dives deep into ICU Day theme
Episode 16 of The Global Credit Union Podcast takes a dive into the theme for International Credit Union Day 2022: “Empower Your Financial Future with a Credit Union.
The World Council of Credit Unions and Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions (WFCU) plan to lead that celebration by asking for credit unions to share their member empowerment stories on ICU Day, while WFCU Executive Director Mike Reuter is also leading an Empower Campaign to raise $500,000 for the global credit union movement. He joins the podcast to discuss that.
The podcast shares an example of one such empowerment story from Ukraine, where a credit union association empowered an employee from one of its member credit unions to improve both her financial future and her safety. That employee, Oksana Hovorushchenko, shares her very personal story as an example of how our movement can empower its members.
