The pandemic disrupted the way that we work. With more teams working remotely, it is more important than ever that leaders engage their team members at different levels in order to build trust and demonstrate a level of care during these unprecedented times. Different questions can help you build and strengthen your rapport with your team. Rockwell advises that those questions focus on four key areas:

  • Questions about people. Ask your team members what they like to do outside of work, how they got into their current field of work, or what they enjoy doing for fun.
  • Questions about challenges. Asking your team members what keeps them up at night, and what small steps in the right direction they can take today.
