Addition Financial Credit Union partners with 8th largest school district in the U.S. for weekly video series

ORLANDO, FLA (January 29, 2024) — Students, families, and faculty of Orange County Public Schools will be getting more weekly updates, insights, and interviews about OCPS presented by one of the district’s longest-held partners. OCPS welcomed Addition Financial Credit Union aboard as this year’s sponsor of the school district’s popular “Mondays with Maria” video series.

“Mondays with Maria” launched in Fall 2022 as a webcast where Orange County Schools Superintendent Dr. Maria Vazquez spoke weekly to students, families and faculty about important topics and issues within Florida’s 4th largest school district. Addition Financial Credit Union President and CEO Kevin Miller joined Dr. Vazquez this week to talk about the long partnership between OCPS and the credit union.

“The partnership is truly Addition Financial’s foundational relationship,” said Kevin Miller, Addition Financial Credit Union President and CEO. “Orange County teachers founded the credit union 87 years ago, and supporting education remains part of our core mission today. Sponsoring Mondays with Maria is yet another way we can support the work the district does providing exceptional education to students.

Addition Financial Credit Union is also the top sponsor for the OCPS Stellar Awards in February that honors the district’s educators and faculty. Additionally, the partnership includes Addition Financial school district debit cards that allow members to donate funds to the district for each card use, and student-run Addition Financial branches in 6 Orange County high schools.
