Canvas Credit Union hosts “Going for the Goal” contest at Showdown for a chance to win $10,000.*
DENVER, CO (August 29, 2019) — Canvas Credit Union is back as the Official Credit Union of the Rocky Mountain Showdown for the 4th year in a row, supporting the annual rivalry between Colorado’s own CSU Rams and CU Buffs! Always ready to give back to the community, Canvas is also hosting a field goal kicking contest with a chance for two students to win $10,000!
“We’re all about supporting our communities, especially at a good old-fashioned rivalry like the Showdown, which kicks off the Colorado football season,” said Todd Marksberry, President and CEO of Canvas Credit Union. “We’re here to help people afford life, which includes the costs of college by providing scholarship opportunities, as well as free financial education in neighborhoods and schools. We’re so proud to be part of this classic match-up between these two great schools!”
As a not-for-profit institution, Canvas Credit Union gives back to Colorado communities through their foundation. Since 2017, the credit union’s annual scholarship programs have awarded more than $150,000 to help Colorado students pay for college expenses.
