Christian Community Credit Union donates $10,000 to online Masters of Theological Studies program

SAN DIMAS, CA (May 24, 2019) — In response to the rapid growth of the Evangelical Church in Latin America and the Global South, Christian Community Credit Union donated $10,000 in a matching fund to International Ministries (IM) for their online Masters of Theological Studies (MTS) program.

The funds for the donation come from the Credit Union’s “Cards that Give to Missions” program, in which a portion of the Credit Union’s interchange income (fees merchants pay to card issuers) is donated when cardholders use their Credit Union-issued credit cards for purchases.

“We’re excited to partner with IM in supporting seminary students as they prepare to become pastors and church leaders,” said Marji Hughes, Chief Operating Officer of Christian Community Credit Union. “It’s a blessing to be part of what God is doing among the Latin American evangelical community through the MTS program.”

“We are truly delighted and grateful for our partnership with Christian Community Credit Union that is doubling our ability to change lives through the MTS program and its students,” said Rev. Sharon T. Koh, International Ministries Executive Director/CEO. “Together, we are training the trainers and multiplying God’s kingdom effect until it is on earth as it is in Heaven!”
