CUES Honors Outstanding Councils and Top Recruiters MADISON, Wis. -The Credit Union Executives Society announced top CUES Council award winners and thanked its top recruiters recently.

Nine CUES Councils were honored as CUES Outstanding Councils. Each was presented $500 to use on future meetings.

Judges selected these Councils because the officers work well together to plan meetings, choosing timely and important topics to present to their attendees. They also communicate effectively with their members, producing attractive and informative marketing pieces,  helping generate a high turn out at their Council meetings. Additionally, they encourage nonmembers to join CUES.

The 2010 CUES Outstanding Councils are:

– CUES Alabama Council, CUES Iowa Council and CUES Louisiana Council for groups with 1-74 CUES members

– CUES New Jersey Council, CUES Rocky Mountain Council and CUES Wisconsin Council for groups with 75-150 CUES members

– CUES Florida Council, CUES Michigan Council and CUES Ohio Council for groups with more than 150 CUES members

CUES Councils serve CUES members regionally, offering networking and career-enhancing resources to credit union leaders. Run by members on a volunteer basis, the 25 Councils are judged annually on professional development, communication and planning.

CUES also honored its top new-member recruiters from the past year. A record

757 CUES members recruited one or two new members. Thirty-six CUES members were honored as part of the Chairman*s Club Circle for recruiting three or four new members, and 11 CUES members were honored as part of the Chairman*s Club Roundtable for recruiting five to seven new members.
