CUNA eSchool to offer credit union financial training and certification

MADISON, WI (June 2, 2015) — Credit union board members and non-financial managers will gain a deeper understanding of financial management topics for credit union operations during CUNA CU Finance for Non-Financial Managers & Volunteers eSchool, August 19 through September 3, 2015.

Industry expert, Tim Harrington, president of T.E.A.M. Resources, will lead attendees through 6 sessions starting with financial basics and moving into more advanced topics. Attendees will have the opportunity to earn their CUNA Board Financial Literacy Certificate, ensuring compliance with the NCUA ruling that board members must maintain a mandatory level of financial literacy.

This eSchool provides sessions on:

  • The Financial Statement Game – Starting with the Basics: August 19
  • Financial Statement Analysis: August 20
  • The Financial Statement Game – Getting a Bit More Sophisticated: August 26
  • Rates, Risk, & Return: August 27
  • The Financial Statement Game – Gaining a Deeper Understanding: September 2
  • Asset Liability Management (ALM) – The Rocket Science of CUs: September 3
