Eighty-one graduates named Certified Credit Union Executives

WASHINGTON, DC (July 29, 2015) — CUNA is proud to announce the 2015 graduating class of CUNA Management School. This year’s 81 graduates were awarded the Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation. Having completed a rigorous three-year program in credit union management and operations techniques, the students will join the more than 3,300 CCUE designees nationwide.

Presented in cooperation with the Graduate School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, CUNA Management School cultivates effective leadership skillsets in current and future credit union managers through a blended curriculum of traditional classes and experiential learning. For two weeks each July, the campus hosts hundreds of credit union professionals whose desire for learning demonstrates extraordinary commitment to bettering their credit union, their co-workers and themselves.

“Despite having run this program for five years, I continue to be inspired by the passion and determination of the students I meet at UW-Madison each July,” said Meghann Dawson, director of learning events at CUNA. “These students truly invest all of themselves into their studies and conclusively prove that the future for credit unions remains bright and hopeful.”

Created in 1975, the CCUE designation is a national standard for scholarship in professional credit union leadership. The program includes challenging coursework in a wide variety of subjects, including credit union philosophy, risk management, financial accounting, media relations and more.

Of this year’s 81 graduates, 31 graduated with honors and 1 graduated with high honors. Kasi Devinney of Keystone United Methodist FCU also received additional recognition as the Al Jordan Award recipient for her service and leadership throughout CUNA Management School.

CUNA congratulates the recipients who have continued their education and training to earn designee and specialist standing. See full listing of names and credit unions of graduates.
