evolve FCU | Social Purpose community outreach event Summer Slam 2023

EL PASO, TX (September 20, 2023) — evolve FCU hosted its third quarter Social Purpose event, “Summer Slam” at the El Paso Chihuahuas baseball stadium where the credit union provided tickets to a private event to seven of its partner organizations. Organizations included in this event were the Child Crisis Center, Candlelighters, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Make-A-Wish of El Paso, The Children Miracle Network, Lee and Beulah Moor Children’s Home and The Center Against Sexual and Family Violence.

The children’s organizations were greeted with a warm welcome at the baseball stadium, where they were able to sit comfortably at the Santa Fe Pavilion, a private area just for the children’s organizations. They were able to enjoy a lunch buffet that provided hot dogs, kettle chips, watermelon, freshly baked cookies, and refreshment drinks like sweet tea and lemonade. The kids and families had a great time as many of these kids do not get a chance to go on an outing like this, whether it be because of their financial situation, life threatening illnesses or are under foster care. It was the perfect way to end the summer with a grand slam for the children’s organizations that are part of evolve’s Social Purpose.

As evolve continues its social purpose for the remainder of 2023 they are preparing for one of their biggest events of the year. Their annual Shoe Story, where they partner up with Academy Sports and Outdoor in El Paso to provide shoes for the children organizations for the Holiday season. This will be their fourth year doing it and it wouldn’t be possible without the support of evolve FCUs members.
