Interested in Federal Grants to Help Your CDCU With Green Lending?

Please join us for a webinar on Tuesday, September 19, 1:00 – 2:00pm ET to learn how to participate in Inclusiv’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund (GGRF) application.

Register

If Inclusiv wins an award, the GGRF program will enable us to support CDCUs to launch and grow green loan programs that help your members save money on their energy bills (through efficient home appliance, solar panel, electric vehicle, and other energy upgrades).

The GGRF Clean Communities Investment Accelerator competition provides each qualifying CDCU with grants of up to $10 million for capitalization funding and grants up to $1 million for technical assistance.

In addition to grants for CDCUs, Inclusiv is also applying for additional GGRF dollars to help CDCUs grow green lending programs by providing them with low interest loans, interest rate buydowns, subordinated debt, and other financial products.

Join us to learn how your institution can participate and ask the Inclusiv GGRF team any questions you have about how your support of our application will help bring green lending resources to mission driven institutions such as yours.

Requests

Provide a Credit Union Letter of Interest for Inclusiv’s GGRF Application (deadline 9/22/23)

  • To save you time, we have provided a template that you can place on your organization’s letterhead and fill in your credit union name, information about your credit union and a signature. If you prefer to write your own letter, we welcome that as well.
  • These letters will help raise awareness with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) of the size and geographic reach of the network of engaged credit unions interested and ready to receive federal funding to launch and/or scale green lending initiatives in low-income and disadvantaged communities across the United States.

Ask Your Community Partners and Local Government Representatives to Provide a Letter of Support for Inclusiv’s GGRF Application (deadline 9/22/23)

  • If you work with partners such as community groups, local government groups, or other representatives that would be excited for your CU and for Inclusiv to use GGRF dollars to help make clean energy more affordable and accessible in your community, we welcome their letters of support for our application.
  • The EPA is specifically looking for letters of support from community organizations and local government representatives that support low-income and disadvantaged communities (LIDAC). If you have relationships with any local organizations or government representatives, please ask them to submit this letter in support of Inclusiv.
  • To save your partners time, we have provided a template that you can share with your local stakeholders. Please submit all signed letters to Hannah Kramer (hkramer@inclusiv.org).
