Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union donates $50,000 to Credit Union Museum

LOWELL, MA (June 18, 2015) — Recognizing the importance of the credit union movement to our nation’s history and future, Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union is pleased to announce its donation of $50,000 to America’s Credit Union Museum based in Manchester, N.H, the birthplace of American credit unions.

“We are excited to be able to help America’s Credit Union Museum share the history of our nation’s financial cooperatives,” said Mark S. Cochran, President and Chief Executive Officer of Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union. “We have an important, and ongoing, story to share with the world and, particularly, with those who can benefit from our philosophy and mission.”

As not-for-profit cooperative financial institutions, credit unions continue to have a unique and essential role in making the American Dream attainable. The credit union movement is built on a deep foundation of values and principles. For more than 100 years, credit unions have helped ordinary people overcome extraordinary struggles to achieve a better life.

“We are grateful to Jeanne D’Arc Credit Union for their support and commitment to the America’s Credit Union Museum Legacy Campaign.  Their support will help the Museum continue to share the stories of how credit unions have helped millions of Americans achieve a more secure financial future,” said Michael L’Ecuyer, Chairman of the Board for America’s Credit Union Museum.
