People’s Credit Union donates to East Bay Food Pantry

MIDDLETOWN, RI (December 21, 2023) — People’s Credit Union’s Bristol branch has provided the East Bay Food Pantry with $250 in support of their efforts to reduce hunger and increase nutrition across the East Bay and beyond. Operating under their mission to engage, educate, and empower for a hunger-free community, the East Bay Food Pantry serves food-insecure individuals and families across Bristol, Providence, and Newport counties. In addition, they offer distribution at their client-choice food pantry on Woods Street in Bristol.

“The East Bay Food Pantry and Thrift Shop’s efforts to battle family hunger and provide proper nutrition are critical to the well-being of so many, especially during the Holidays,” offered Stephanie Mendoza, Head of Bristol Member Operations for People’s Credit Union. “The Credit Union is pleased to provide assistance and contributions whenever possible to help the pantry and thrift shop with all that they do for communities year-round,” Mendoza further stated.

The East Bay Food Pantry & Thrift Shop is located at 532 Woods Street in Bristol, RI. Food pantry programs are Wednesday 10 am – 6:30 pm & Friday 10 am – 3 pm, and thrift shop hours are Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday 10 am – 4 pm.
