Record-breaking attendance at Annual CU*Answers Leadership Conference

GRAND RAPIDS, MI (June 27, 2023) — CU*Answers, a 100% credit union-owned CUSO, held their 2023 Annual Leadership Conference and Stockholders Meeting on June 21st at the JW Marriott Hotel in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. The annual event brings together credit union leadership from across the country for a briefing on the organization’s overall direction and major projects for the coming year. This year’s event saw record-breaking attendance, with 212 participants from 105 credit unions across the country, as well as another 60 vendor and staff attendees.

This year’s conference theme was “Building a Base Camp for Our Future.” After some opening remarks by CU*Answers CEO Geoff Johnson, a dozen different CU*Answers leaders joined Johnson on stage for news about CU*Answers products, services and software enhancements recently implemented and planned for the coming year.

This year’s conference included several surprise reveals of new products and services that were available for attendees to activate starting the day of the conference, including new Spanish-language editions of the CUSO’s flagship online/mobile banking products, It’s Me 247 and BizLink 247, as well as a new options for the core-integrated online loan application.

The organization also spotlighted the new look and feel—and planned new brand name—for its current flagship core product, CU*BASE® GOLD. In development now with a rollout planned during the 2024 calendar year, “CBX” will represent a new browser-based look and feel and development platform for the CUSO’s signature data processing product.

At a separate session that evening, CU*Answers Stockholders met for the annual board member election and to hear a recap of the CUSO’s financial position and projections for the fiscal year.
