The Community Impact Grant Program, a centerpiece of the Foundation’s efforts, focuses on funding projects that tackle barriers to the well-being and prosperity of credit union members and their communities. With a particular emphasis on financial wellness and education, holistic wellness, housing stability, and food security, the program also extends support to credit unions seeking Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFI) certification or CDFI Fund grant-writing assistance. The maximum grant amount available under this program is $5,000 for credit unions and $1,500 for LSCU Chapters.

“We are dedicated to supporting initiatives that make a meaningful difference in the lives of our members and communities,” said Bobbi Grady, SECUF Director. “The Community Impact Grant Program allows us to address critical needs affecting our communities and provides resources that are crucial to the success of our environment.”

The Credit Union Development Grant Program, the second component of the Grants Program, is designed to bolster the growth and sustainability of credit unions. Financial assistance is provided for projects that enhance staff and volunteer development, encourage technology adoption, and improve operational efficiency. Through this program, credit unions can access valuable resources to strengthen their capabilities and better serve their members.

“We understand the importance of a strong and sustainable credit union system. The Credit Union Development Grant Program allows us to invest in projects that foster growth, innovation, and operational excellence within credit unions,” stated Grady.

The SECUF would like to express its heartfelt congratulations to all the grant recipients. Their outstanding work and commitment to their communities align perfectly with the Foundation’s mission of fostering positive change and sustainable growth.
