Schedule Congressional Caucus Hill meetings now

NAFCU’s Congressional Caucus is less than a month away. Throughout the event, credit union leaders and advocates will hear from an exceptional lineup of speakers – including House Majority Leader Rep. Steve Scalise, R-La., and Senate Finance Committee Chairman Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., as well as the entire NCUA Board. Attendees are also encouraged to schedule meetings with their elected representatives while attending. Those who need assistance can complete the Hill Visit Form to request help in scheduling meetings with lawmakers to advocate for key credit union issues.

One major focus during Congressional Caucus will be fighting back against the harmful Big Box Bailout that would extend interchange requirements to credit cards. The association announced a partnership with Mastercard and Visa to cover registration fees for credit union CEOs and one additional staff member while funds last. In addition, this year’s Congressional Caucus will feature a panel discussion on the FedNow Service and remarks from Federal Housing Finance Agency Director Sandra Thompson.
