Why credit unions stand tall with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, President/CEO John Lauck discusses

by. Mike Lawson

With the 2014 Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run in Washington, D.C., is in the books this past weekend and funds raised went to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals via Credit Unions for Kids, it’s a another stellar start for the organization. After all, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals experienced a record-setting year in funds raised in 2012. As the organization finishes tallying the 2013 numbers, that total is looking quite comparable — if not better — as well.

Credit unions annually step up to the plate via Credit Unions for Kids and give in record numbers. In fact, credit unions rank third behind Walmart and Costco as the top fund raisers for the organization.

To find out why these numbers are exceeding all expectations (this is a good thing!), we invited Children’s Miracle Network Hospital’s President and CEO John Lauck on the program to gain more insight as to why credit unions are consistently top givers to this charity — and how they can continue to get involved. We also talk about the connection between Credit Unions for Kids and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and where your donations go to help kids in need.

Many thanks to John for joining us to give an update and how your credit union can contribute to this most worthy cause. Enjoy!
