Why do your employees come to work?

Before you can motivate your employees, you have to first hire the right people, develop and train them and cultivate a healthy work environment. Why?

No one wants a “withering” employee. Forbes describes this “central law of employee motivation”:

“Employees who are selected, oriented, and reinforced properly, and who are surrounded by peers of the same caliber, will thrive when given significant autonomy. Otherwise, they’ll wither.”

A healthy corporate culture and effective management style can go a long way toward motivating employees. Even better – add positive reinforcement to the mix.
